WHAT IS THE VOTER’S CHOICE ACT?
Under the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA), you choose when, where, and how you vote. Elections are no longer a one-day event and there is no need to wait until Election Day to vote. Every active registered voter in San Diego County will automatically receive a ballot in the mail nearly a month before Election Day. Once you receive your ballot, you can return it: By mail, At an official Ballot Drop Box location, or At a Vote Center near you. A complete list of Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations will be available in your Voter Information Pamphlet and at sdvote.com.

WHAT IS A VOTE CENTER?
Vote Centers replace polling places and provide more services to voters. You can vote in person at any Vote Center in San Diego County.
Some Vote Centers will be open 11 days, including Election Day, and all Vote Centers will be open 4 days, including Election Day.

"Originally under the Constitution, only white male citizens over the age of 21 were eligible to vote. This shameful injustice has been corrected and voting rights have been extended several times over the course of our history. Today, citizens over the age of 18 cannot be denied the right to vote, regardless of race, religion, sex, disability, or sexual orientation. However, in every state except North Dakota, citizens must register to vote, and laws regarding the registration process vary by state." -- The White House
